How to Fund Your Aster Account

Four ways to fund your Aster account and deposit to Aster DEX.

Self-custody. Not financial advice. High risk.

Fund Your Aster Account in 5 Steps

    1. 1

Get USDT/USDC on Arbitrum. Choose one of four methods:

    2. 2

Keep $2-$5 in ETH (Arbitrum) for gas.

    3. 3

Connect wallet at asterdex.com and sign the messages.

    4. 4

Select the Arbitrum chain and deposit a small test amount ($5-$20) of either USDT or USDC.

    5. 5

Once it successfully arrives, deposit the full amount you would like to have on the DEX for trading.

    Understanding Aster Funding

Aster allows you to fund your account using USDT or USDC from BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum and Solana. This guide will show you how to fund your account using Arbirtum.

Funding your Aster account means moving supported collateral to the Arbitrum network.

    You'll need two things:

    • Stablecoin collateral (USDC or USDT) for trading margin
    • A small amount of ETH for transaction gas fees

    Supported Collateral

USDC and USDT on Arbitrum network

    Network

    Arbitrum (Layer 2 on Ethereum)

    Gas Requirements

Keep $2-5 in ETH (Arbitrum) for transactions

Important: Only send assets to your own wallet address over the Arbitrum network. Test with a small amount first. Wrong network = potential loss of funds.

    Funding Methods

    Direct Fiat On-Ramp

Users starting with cash and a bank card/transfer

    5-15 min
    2-5%

    Steps:

    1. 1Choose a provider (Moonpay, Transak, Ramp Network)
    2. 2Select Arbitrum network and USDC/USDT stablecoin
    3. 3Complete KYC verification and payment
    4. 4Funds land in your wallet on the correct chain
Fastest method but higher card fees. Limits vary by country and verification level.
    CEX Withdraw to Aster Network

Users with assets on Binance, Bybit, MEXC, etc.

    10-30 min
    $1-5

    Steps:

    1. 1Buy USDC or USDT on your centralized exchange
    2. 2Choose Arbitrum as the withdrawal network
    3. 3Paste your self-custody wallet address carefully
    4. 4Withdraw and confirm arrival in your wallet
Watch for wrong-network withdrawals! Always double-check the network matches what Aster supports.
    Bridge from Another Chain

Users who hold tokens on a different network

    1-20 min
    $2-10

    Steps:

    1. 1Connect wallet to a trusted bridge (Across, Stargate, Debridge)
    2. 2Select from your current network to Arbitrum
    3. 3Choose USDC/USDT as the asset if possible
    4. 4Approve transaction and wait for finality (1-20 min)
Bridging times and fees vary. Use only reputable bridges and verify contracts.
    Swap On-Chain After Arrival

Users who bridged the wrong asset

    1-3 min
    $0.50-2

    Steps:

    1. 1Use a DEX on Arbitrum (Uniswap, 1inch, SushiSwap)
    2. 2Swap your asset to USDC or USDT
    3. 3Keep a small gas buffer (0.001-0.005 ETH)
    4. 4Verify token contract address before swapping
Watch for slippage on large trades. Always verify you're swapping the correct token contract.

    Deposit Steps (Wallet to Aster)

Once you have USDT or USDC on Arbitrum in your wallet, follow these steps to deposit into Aster for trading.

    1

    Ensure Gas

Hold $2–$5 ETH (Arbitrum) for network fees.

(BNB chain needs BNB; Solana needs SOL—but this guide is Arbitrum.)

    2

    Connect & Sign

    • • Visit asterdex.com.
    • • Connect wallet (Arbitrum).
    • • Click Sign when prompted to verify the wallet (no funds move on signature).
    3

    Make a Test Deposit

    • • Go to Wallet > Deposit.
    • • Select USDT or USDC (Arbitrum balance).
    • • Enter a small test amount (e.g., $5–$20).
    • • Confirm and wait for on-chain confirmation (typically <1–3 min).
    4

    Verify Credit

    • • In Aster > Balances, confirm the test amount shows under Deposited or Trading balance.
    • • If it hasn't appeared after a few blocks, check the transaction hash on Arbiscan and refresh.
    5

    Deposit the Full Amount

    • • Repeat Wallet > Deposit for the remaining amount.
    • • Leave a small ETH buffer for fees (don't spend your last dollar of gas).

    Common Mistakes

    • "Insufficient gas" - add ETH (Arbitrum) and retry.
    • Sent to wrong network - contact the sending platform; Aster cannot credit cross-network tokens.
    • USDC.e vs USDC - prefer native USDC (Arbitrum) when available; if you hold USDC.e, swap to USDC before depositing if Aster requires native (or confirm Aster accepts both).
